Career beginnings (2014 - 2019)

Ankit Raii began their music career in 2014 with their elder brothers Abinash Rai, Anupam Rai, Joseph Magar, Suraj Chhetri and friends, forming a band. Ankit Raii was the primary songwriter, writing lyrics and composing music. Initially, the band members collaborated on songwriting, but he eventually took on sole responsibility for writing and finishing the songs.

The band, which later came to be known as "Black Shadow The Band Of छाया" created music together for a few years. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, including the loss of a band member Suraj Chhetri in an accident, the group eventually disbanded. Raii then joined forces with other musicians, but after two years, they left as well.

In 2020, Ankit Raii released their first solo single as an independent artist. Since then, they have continued to create and release music on their own, remaining active in the music scene as a solo artist."
