Irfan
Irfan (born 15th May) is an Indian singer from Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. He is writer, lyricist, director and producer.
Life & Career
He has produced many short films and documentary films on science, technology, environment, health and burning social topics. He was known by his productions house name Earthian Productions. He is sings in multiple languages, making him a multilingual artist, chaining together lyrics in English, Urdu and Punjabi, as well as elements of Arabic. He produces and composes his own songs. His firs music album is ‘Mery Priyatama’.
Early and personal life
Irfan was born in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. His father and mther was Indian pathan/muslim. Since childhood, he used to make musical sounds from his mouth with the fingers of his hands on walls and tables. Since his student days, he has been giving programs on radio along with his studies. He uses influences from both Indian and pop in his songs. OP Nayyar, RD Burman, Shankar Jaikishan and AR Rahman are main inspirations behind his music. His specialty is that he first composed the music and then writes the lyrics. Basically he is an Asst. Professor (Botany) in MJP Rohilkhand University.
