Raj Karmakar was born and raised in Balurghat, West Bengal, where he developed a passion for music at a young age. he was exposed to diverse musical traditions, which later influenced his musical style. His natural inclination toward songwriting and composing began during his school days, where he would often engage in musical activities. Raj’s family supported his passion for music, encouraging him to pursue his dreams while balancing his education.

Raj completed his Higher Secondary education at Balurghat High School. Currently, he is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree at Gour Banga University, Balurghat College. Despite his academic pursuits, music remains the central focus of his life.
