Subhankar Saha
Subhankar Saha is an Indian music composer, record producer, singer, and songwriter. He was born (born 29th November 1985) in Agartala, the capital of Tripura, India. Deeply rooted in music from a young age, Subhankar is known for his versatile musicianship and the ability to play various instruments, including the tabla.
Primarily recognized as a musician and independent artist, Subhankar Saha has carved a niche for himself in the Indian independent music scene. He composes, writes, and produces his own music, blending contemporary sounds with traditional Indian elements.
Life & Career
Saha began his professional music career as a composer and independent artist. He writes, composes, and produces his own songs, often incorporating Indian classical rhythms with contemporary pop and electronic elements. In 2015, Saha married Kajol Chakma. The couple has a son named Shreyansh.
On 2 July 2025, he released his debut single titled "Ni Tu Classy Thodi Sassy", which marked his entry into the digital music space. The song became available for streaming on all major digital platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, JioSaavn, Shazam, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
Early & Personal Life
0Subhankar Saha completed his schooling at Bordowali Higher Secondary School in Agartala, Tripura. In 2002, he moved to Bangalore, where he pursued a Diploma in Computer Science from Ananda Marga Polytechnic.
After completing his diploma, Saha relocated to Chennai and enrolled at the Aarupadai Veedu Institute of Technology located near Mahabalipuram in 2008. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering in 2011, further strengthening his technical background.
Following his graduation, Saha began his professional career in Pune, Maharashtra, where he worked for a gaming company named GlobalStep. However, due to personal and family reasons, he returned to Agartala in 2012.
In 2013, he secured a contractual position with the Department of Agriculture, Government of Tripura. Subsequently, he transitioned to a role within the Tripura Forest Department, also on a contractual basis.
